Michailova-McCulloch Model

Description | Equations | Implementation | Examples | Discussion

Model Implementation

The implementation of the model are based on the papers by Drs. Michailova and McCulloch. We wrote model description files containing the published equations, model parameter values and initial conditions (See the code). The M-M model program was then generated automatically with our new java-based model simulation environment, JSIM (Currently, the runtime model control interface is  XSIM, which allows users  to control parameter values, result display, data analysis, sensitivity analysis, etc at runtime). JSIM recognizes the ODE(s) and selects a solver for solving the ODE(s) (DOPRI5, a robust, reliable solver for ODE(s) and RADAU for solving the stiff equations). JSIM selects RADAU for solving the stiff ODE(s).

Free  download of the models & modeling software is available. Models can also be run via the Internet.
