O2 and CO2 Transport and Exchange
The model simulates the simultaneous transport and exchange of O2, CO2, HCO3- and pH in the blood-tissue exchange unit of an organ (e.g., heart). The parameters are set for normal physiological conditions. These can be varied to simulate changing physiological states.
The code is in mathematical modeling language (MML) for the JSim platform. JSim can be downloaded free via the National Simulation Resource.
