Information for JSim Internals Developers
Class Functions and Procedures
Creating the Java classes that define class functions and procedures is typically done by only JSim internals developers, since the process requires considerable technical expertise, access to the JSim internal source code, and continued maintenance between JSim minor release versions.
Customized Data Formats
JSim 1.6.14 introduces a general mechanism to access data files of external formats within JSim. The general procedure is to extend the DataFormat, DataReader and DataWriter classes in the JSim.data package, and make the appropriately named classes available to JSim at run-time within JSIMPATH. DataFormat and DataWriter implementation is required. DataReader implementation is optional. This feature is still under development and is not yet fully documented or supported. Please contact the JSim development team if you are interested.
